"Hey, what's wrong?" He steps closer. I can feel my tears starting to stream down my face. I quickly look down, not wanting him to see my face.
"It's okay," he tells me as he reaches with one hand to lift my face up towards his. Before he can stare into my eyes and realize who I am, I shut them tight, making more uncontrollable tears stream down my cheeks. He gently wipes my tears away with his thumb.
Shit! No! He can't do that! If he does that he'll-
"Alex?" He takes a step away from me and I quickly open my eyes. "Alex, why is there a bruise on your face?"
My tears washed my makeup way, and he rubbed it right off when he wiped my tears.
This. Can't. Be. Happening.
"Alex," his voice strained, his hands in fists at his sides. "Who did this to you?"
You, I want to say, but I can't, I can't blow my cover I've worked so damn hard to build.
My eyes narrows at him. The tears have stopped.
"I tripped down the stairs." I say through gritted teeth. I can't have anyone else find out. I shove past him and sprint to the bathroom. I quickly take my medicine to control my PBA.

Meet Alex Morgan:
